Community Honors Three Young Brothers Following Cumberland County Crash

Cumberland County, North Carolina – Family members, friends, and community supporters continue honoring the memory of three young brothers whose lives were lost following a tragic traffic collision on Cedar Creek Road, a case that has deeply affected residents across the region.

The children have been identified as Jae’ Coda Thomas, 3, Ju’ Mari Thomas, 6, and Jack Thomas IV, 8. Relatives, neighbors, and supporters have gathered at memorial events and prayer services to remember the brothers and offer support to their loved ones during this difficult time.


According to investigators, the incident occurred on the night of June 3 along Cedar Creek Road near Fayetteville.

Emergency responders arrived at the scene after receiving reports of a serious crash involving a vehicle carrying the children.

Authorities later identified Megan Scott, the children’s mother, as the driver of the vehicle.

Court records indicate that she has been detained and is facing multiple charges in connection with the case as investigators continue reviewing the circumstances surrounding the collision.

The loss of Jae’ Coda Thomas, Ju’ Mari Thomas, and Jack Thomas IV has generated an outpouring of support from across North Carolina.
